Saw this in men's health a while back (protein balls)

This recipe is a nice way to get a quick protein/fat if you were on the go. You essentially mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl of your choosing and then just roll them into balls of any size you like.

2 cups crunchy peanut butter
2 scoops chocolate whey-protein powder
2 extra-ripe bananas
2 tablespoons whole flaxseeds

Place them in the fridge or store in freezer for later.

This recipe sounds really good. I wonder if creamy peanut butter would work just as well? I love peanut butter and peanuts, but not combined, if that makes sense! :D This sounds like a recipe that I could do quickly and my kids might even like it. Thanks for the info.

I've made these before, and they are very tasty. Once I even made a trail mix with them. My guy loves when I make these.

I may have to try this, but with almond butter instead. I'm allergic to peanuts. Do you recall how many grams of proteins this recipe was stated to have?

I think I may want to tinker a bit with the ingredients and come up with a few different takes and see which one would be best suited for a nice dessert or snack.

Interesting recipe but not exactly healthy. You could make it healthier by using almond butter instead of peanut butter. The chocolate whey proteins on the market are usually full of artificial ingredients and sweeteners. I would rather use unflavoured whey and a tbsp of good cocoa powder.

Throw some coconut oil in there instead of the flax seed as well.

When I first saw this post all I could think of was the Rocky Mountain Oysters. Then I read the recipe and started to relax some more!

This sound likes a good idea I might actually try it! Thanks for sharing but what can you substitute instead of flaxseed?

This is a pretty good idea. I have a really good chocolate protein powder right now that would be perfect for this. I'm sure it actually tastes amazing. I love peanut butter.

awesome recipe! I made a batch of these protein bars over the weekend. Put them in little plastic baggies(about 3-4 each), for the week.
