Can Anyone Explain Golf

Postby Isabellas2007 » Thu May 17, 2012 5:50 pm

I know golf is the game where people hit the ball, but I meant can people explain the concept and what makes this so interesting? To me the courses look like they should be converted back to the cow pasture or other item to guarantee the planet has enough food instead of golf.

Golf is an extremely technical sport. I'm not a fan of golf, I do think it can be boring to watch, but I enjoy watching the major championships and the Ryder Cup. It is exciting when the Leaderboard is tight and there could be multiple winners in the final round.

I can see where it would be a technical game, but I am not sure how it can be a good thing to watch. However, anytime a sport is tight in the leader board the matches or games always become ten times more interesting. So this is the only time people should notice the sport at all.

People say the golf is the sport of rich people. I really don't know a thing about golf, I just know that the fewer strokes wins other than that nothing. I really find gold boring and dull, I mean the crowd is also boring. Fans can't should because the golfer would get distracted and all that.

I'm clueless just as you are in golf but they say it's a sport so let's stick with it. I'll suggest you watch Adam Sandler's movie "Happy Gilmore," it's all about golf, I think you'll find it funny.

Other than the quirky backwards scoring system, there isn't much interesting about the sport it's self. It's used by rich people as a networking tool. I'm sure they have all kinds of side bets set up to make the game a lot more fun than it is by default(which isn't that fun at all because it moves at such a slow pace by design.)

I watch golf occasionally but I really don't understand the scoring. Good thing someone just enlightened me.

I usually have no idea what is happening in golf, all i know is that you have to aim for the hole with a flag in it lol.

Lol, that's what I thought at first but there's actually a lot more. One of the games that takes too long to finish.

I do not really follow golf so I could not explain it to you that well. However, I think it is where the players have to hit a little ball into a hole some distance away within a certain number of hits.

The rules in the Golf are really simple :), you just have to come to the "hole" faster with less tries than the other player,or so I heard :D.
