Push Up Workout

Postby shaun » Sun May 13, 2012 12:37 pm

This is a good chest workout if you don't have access to a gym. The aim is to do 100 push ups using for push up variations - feet elevated push ups, close grip push ups, regular push ups, and explosive push ups. Do 25 reps of each in as many sets as it takes to complete 100 reps.

Yes nice workout!Anyway if you want a bigger chest, do a mixture of these above and normal pushups. Wide Stance Pushups - workout the chest 'by the armpit' and the main bulk of chest,Hip Pushups - workout mainly the arms but ALSO the lower chest (below nipples),Squeezer Pushups - a normal pushup but with your pecs tensed as much as possible.

I love push ups. Simply a great overall workout for your core and you can do them at any time you wish. No equipment required. They show great results too.

Push ups sound great! It amazes me so many people use a gym or other place to get the workout they need. So they should look at the different items which can happen naturally.

Your post is not coherent. What is the point in your post? What does it contribute? 'So they need to look at different items which can happen naturally'. Wow, thanks for your wonderful insight.

Push ups are good for strengthening the core, but push ups are a chest exercise primarily. Push ups are one of the best exercises for your chest because you are moving your body through space, maximising neuromuscular activation. Your deltoids and triceps are also worked in the push up. There are better exercises for working your core.

You raise a good point. What are some of your personal favourites for working your core?

This sounds similar to the 100 day push up challenge. Where you do 100 push ups per session but their broken up into sets. I think push ups are great but bench press might be better for me at least. Before I got into bench pressing I did push ups instead and it worked pretty good to generall define my chest but in order for it to get bigger and more muscle ontop of it I needed to start bench pressing.

I would like to do this workout. I struggle with girlie pushups. I will just start adding them to my workout. It only makes sense. I know I will get stronger and be able to do them normally.
