Metta World Peace Elbow Reaction

Metta World Peace Elbow Reaction

I'm sure everyone has seen the elbow felt around the world from Word Peace aka Ron Artest. The play was atrocious and I am glad the league made him sit out for 9 games. Does anyone think it was accidental?

Accidental?!

That elbow was not even remotely accidental. You could tell from the wind up that he was trying to hurt James Harden.

An inexcusable act of assault. It made little sense, but when has that man ever made sense. He's a great defender and for his abilities, I would take him on my team. However, he is simply reckless and deserved the punishment he received.

From multiple looks it seems ridiculous that he couldn't tell that James Hardin was right beside him. I hate seeing plays like this in the NBA. This is not the UFC!

I saw the replay and no doubt it was intentional. Why would you swing your elbow like that? The guy is really crazy and full of shit. He is the dirtiest player and I don't think he even deserve any credits for his defense. The way he defend is to use too much physical force which to me is an act of a dirty player.

I am tired of seeing him on the court. Unless he changes his actions, I do not want him in the league anymore.

It's like he has some mental problems.

I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't advised going and seeing a sports psychologist. He's a real looney out there on the court.

I think if he put his head down, he'd be a wonderful defensive forward out there on the court. He gets the job done in pressure situations as he has shown for the Lakers.

Thing is, no one wants to see their teammates drive an elbow (UFC style) into an opposing player's skull. It serves no purpose at all. Stupidity at it's finest by Metta World Peace. Irony of that name is shocking!

Maybe he has split personality disorder where he is good and bad on and off the court. Something is wrong with him, and hopefully he never does something this atrocious again.

I hope Metta gets banned in the NBA and then switch to Boxing so I can see him get into a real fight. Let's see how tough he is.

With all of his antics I don't understand how he is still in the league at all. I mean when he got in a fist fight with fans in the stands....he should have been done then seriously.

I couldn't stop watching the video of him elbowing Harden because it was just a brutal hit. I love the irony of his new name, Metta World Peace and yet he is probably one of the most violent players in the NBA. This won't be his first suspension for something like this.
