Remember being thin does not always mean healthy

I think it is important for people to realize that even if they are think, that does nsot necessarily mean they are upser healthy or fit. I know people that remain think but are very inactive and people that have horrible eatin habits but stay skinny. I thinke everyone needs to be active and eat well regardless of their size.

True. I remember having this debate with some emo kid last year. And most skinny people confuse themselves in thinking that they have a low bf% when that's not the case.

Absolutely true. Thin people can be malnourished and have excess visceral fat. The common skinny fat physique is not healthy at all. Some people are slim because they smoking 50 cigarettes a day and don't eat a lot, another example of bad health. However, being thin is generally good for health.

Absolutely.

Don't tell me those malnourished kids in Africa are "healthy". Being too skinny or thin is just as horrible as being overweight and classified as obese.

They say you need 30 minutes of exercise/day for a reason. In fact, 30 minutes is probably not enough for the average human being. We should really look after the condition of our body, otherwise we are reducing years off of our lives.

Poor diets are a big reason for this.

I don't think you need 30 minutes of exercise a day. Unless you include low-level activity like walking as exercise. Intense activity 2-3 times per week will suffice if your low-level activity is high. This replicates how our ancestors lived.

This is absolutely true. I mean, I know plenty of thin people who smoke, drink, and eat poorly. It's unfortunate that, in our society, being thin is equated to being healthy.

I can agree with this. I would not consider myself a very thin woman, but I am also not fat. I am considered "overweight" on the charts that claim to know how much you should weigh. I also run 3-5 miles at least 3x per week and bike ride almost daily with my kids in tow in the pull behind trailer. I have increased my endurance, strength, and speed over the last 6 months to become what I consider a healthy person. But I am still not thin.

Yes, it's very true. Being naturally thin is a kind of curse. ;) Most of this people do not work out because they have no incentive like losing pounds. They wake up around their 40's and then it's hard to change your lifestyle.

Yeah I definitely agree with this. In terms of just being generally fit, intense activity 2-3 times a week should do you just fine.

This is something that a lot of people seem to forget. They think just if you are not overweight that you are healthy.
