Michael Vick vs. Robert Griffin III ?

Both of these quarterbacks have a lot of athleticism and speed. They can scramble out of the pocket unlike any other quarterback. Who is the better football players and why?

I don't know much about Griffin, but I've never liked Vick. I live in Atlanta, and he has been trouble off the field from day one (long before he made national news with the dogfighting crap). Also, I think he's way overrated for an NFL QB. Kind of like Tebow, he may be able to run and stuff, but dude should have become a wide receiver or something.

I see where you are coming from, but I love Vick. I think he brings excitement to the game every time he touches the ball. I know he had his troubles in the past with dog fighting, but players deserve a second chance.

As long as RG III can stay out of the legal trouble which plagued Vick he can be better. If he starts to get into this type of trouble, though, he will easily start to fail and this can lead to him being a bust. Hopefully, though, he is a boom for his new team!

I think Griffin is a better option than Vick because:he's a better passer,he's a much smarter QB, by all accounts he has exemplary character: a better work ethic, will be a credit to the team and the community.

I have been a long time fan of the Redskins and I can't wait to see what RG3 will do for the team! I don't think you can really compare these two until we actually see RG3 playing in the NFL. Until then this discussion is kind of obsolete. A lot of players do amazing in college and then are terrible in the NFL.

I think RG3 will do better because he does not have any of the extra baggage following him around like Vick has. However, it will be interesting to see how each of them does.

I think it would be helpful to actually see if Robert can get the playbook down. Michael is very underrated as a QB and what he can do for a team, so I go with him, not only over Robert, but quite a few actual NFL QBs.

I think that over the long term RG3 will be a lot better than Vick. The deciding factor will be durability and leadership quality, both of which the rookie has in abundance.

The durability of a college player means nothing against pro players and leadership is fleeting in a professional locker room. The thing Michael has in spades over Robert, in addition to actually being a successful NFL QB, is that his coach has the utmost faith in him.

Robert can't say that about Shanahan.
