Rory MacDonald vs. GSP

Both of these fighters have been great coming out of Canada. GSP has been the most dominant champion besides Matt Hughes in the Welterweight division. Rory MacDonald has been on a meteoric rise in the division as well. Do you think these two will ever fight each other and who would prevail if they did?

Well GSP before the injury would have no problem beating Rory. We will have to wait and see how the injury has affected him in his fights.

Nah, the two fighters won't fight each other because they come from the same camp. GSP is one of Rory's mentor. I can see Rory becoming the next GSP when GSP retires. He is still so young.

Thanks for the insight. I wasn't sure if they would ever fight, but the kid has potential to be great. I would like to see him fight an elite wrestler like Koscheck or Hendricks. If he gets past that type of style, then I think he is ready to rule the division once GSP either moves up or retires.

I would love Rory to fight Condit agan. Their previous fight which was long time ago while Rory was still so young was very entertaining and I want to see how Rory improve so much. I know Condit also has improve much so it will be a very exciting fight.

Rory has a ton of natural talent, though I think he will need a few more fights under his belt before he can take on the likes of GSP. He needs to be tested against a guy like Josh Koscheck, Jon Fitch or Jake Ellenberger. The only top 10 welterweight he ever fought was Condit, and he lost that fight. He's still young, so he still has plenty of time to make his way up the rankings.

Besides Condit, who do you guys want to see face Rory next? He has a ton of potential and seems to be on a meteoric rise as of late. I would like to see him face the winner of the Josh Koscheck vs. Johny Hendricks fight personally. What are your thoughts?

I would love Rory to fight either Koscheck or Hendricks. Maybe if he wins one more quality fight then he should be fighting the elite one's in the Welterweight

I also like him to face a veteran with the likes of Ebersole. I also like this guy because of his accurate elbows when he is on top and of course his popular cartwheel kick. That's going to be a tough one for Rory...
