Insanity Workout

Postby Jeremy Green » Tue Apr 17, 2012 6:16 pm

Insanity has recently hit the workout market and it seems to be really effective. I have heard it is one of the hardest programs to get through, and it will require strength and mental fortitude. Has anyone tried out this exercise program?

I've never heard of the insanity workout. What does it involve? Is it a weight training workout?

It is pretty much like the P-90 X, but has several different workout routines. A lot of the routines can be done without equipment and involves building up your cardio as well as your core muscles.

This system sounds pretty good. It is something that I will need to do more research on. Perhaps if it is as good as it sounds I will give it a go. I do like programs that provide a variety of exercise routines.

It was incredibly difficult.

I thought it would be easy since I was used to P90X and the cardio that comes along with that. However, this is on a whole other level. It really makes you sweat and cry.

I had to quit about halfway because I couldn't bare the pain. I thought I was a fit guy, but that truly made me question it.

Amazing workout for those that are willing to persevere through it.

I lost with this workout about 15-20 pounds.
So great for fat/weight loss. I lost some strength along the way too though, but since your goal is fat loss I could see you losing 10-20 pounds.Anyway is recommended make this only for a short time.

Insanity is a workout that does work, But it is for people who are in shape already. Highly recommend it if you are dedicated and determined. Push ups or any muscle exercise will not help you lose weight but keep you around your weight just replacing the fat with muscle which is a slow process. Do more fat burning before muscle gaining. Weightlifting will increase your metabolism which will be useful.

So it sounds like this could be a workout for weight loss/fat loss. So what is it? Strength gaining while losing fat or just fat loss?

I believe it is mainly fat loss. If you want to build muscle P90x would be better.
