Will The Broncos Be A Threat?

The Broncos recently acquired Peyton Manning, who was a longtime quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts. There has been much focus on Manning and whether he will be able to bring the Broncos to the playoffs again. Will the Broncos be successful next season in the NFL?

I think they'll have success but not as much as they think they will. I don't think Peyton will ever be his old self. He sat out too much and he's getting older. It's hard to get back from any injury and even harder the longer you're out.

I just hope he doesn't get injured again or embarrass himself. I'm not sure the Bronco fan base will be very forgiving if he bombs.

Good points made there. I would have to agree with you. I think they will make the playoffs, but I don't think they will go far despite the fact that they have Peyton Manning.

I think people tend to forget that while Peyton is a good quality QB, part of what made him great was the offenseive line. Jeff Saturday was his center nearly every single game. I think the entire line was there almost every game. That makes a huge difference.

I've seen teams with good QBs lose because the OL can't protect.

Jeff Saturday definitely impacted the game of Peyton Manning tremendously. He is one of the best centers to ever play a game, and it will be interesting to see how Manning adjusts to his new team in the Broncos.

Peyton was a tremendous quarterback for the Colts for many seasons. However, I do not think he will make as big of an impact because he does not have the players who are used to playing with them as long. Without this support he cannot carry the team on his own so I think the shocking part will be the Broncos actually winning.

I have the same feeling you do. I think they will do well, of course. But I do not think they will be as much as a contender as some people are thinking.

They might already have great receivers we just wouldn't know it with their 9 passes a game we saw with Tebow running the show. Manning will be a plus if he can actually function and stay healthy throughout the season of course.

I think that even if Peyton is not physically his old self, his head will be a huge asset to the team. Let's face it, he'll basically be coaching and playing...

I think it will ultimately depend on how his receivers take his leadership.
