Breakfast foods

What have you found are some good breakfast foods that are not high calorie but that taste good and give you energy for the day? I tend to feel pretty poorly if I do not have a decent breakfast but I want to make sure my meals are always healthy.

Free-range eggs are an ideal breakfast. You could cook onions, peppers and other vegetables, and eat with soft boiled eggs for a delicious and nutritious breakfast.
I actually skip breakfast because I follow an intermittent fasting regime. I eat a high-protein meal prior to sleep, and eat around 5 hours after waking.

Nice Shaun, how is the Intermittent fasting going? Im on it as well.

For breakfast you want a lot of complex carbs to give you energy throughout the whole day.

I have always heard that packing in protein is the way to go for breakfast. That's probably old news, though. What are some good complex carbs to eat in the morning? I usually just do a boiled egg, turkey sausage, water and coffee. I eat frequent small meals, though.

It is going well, I have noticed changes in my appearance. My body has now adapted to the fasting and I no longer feel hungry. Last night I ate a big steak and I still feel satiated 14 hours later. I like it because I do not need to cook breakfast in the morning, fasting saves times.

I don't think you need complex carbohydrates for breakfast. Our bodies are not supposed to run on glucose, all carbs are converted into glucose. Our preferred sources of fuel are protein and fat. Replace good quality fats with carbohydrates and you will 'reset' your genes to their evolutionary setting.

Eggs are always a good breakfast food. You can find them at any diner or anywhere really, taste great, pretty good for you. Some nice whole grain cereal would even do you good.

Free range or organic eggs are very good for you, rich in protein and omega-3. Whole grain cereal is the antithesis of healthy food. Highly processed grains are one of the main causes of obesity and sickness in society.

Oh, I was just saying that because that's what I like to eat. ): I personally think they are absolutely delightful.

I like to eat eggs on occasion for breakfast. I try not eat foods that don't have a lot of sugar in them, especially for breakfast.
