Do you have a variety of workouts

Do you have a variety of workout routines that you use? I am curious if you mix it ups a bit from day to day and week to week or do you pretty much always do the same thing?

Workout routines or programs?

I cycle between workout programs about twice a year. Its good to change programs every now and then to bust through plateaus. I wouldn't recommend changing it too often though.

As for routines I usually do Legs on Monday, Chest on Wednesday and Back on Friday.

I think changing things up at times is helpful so that you do not become bored with a routine. I do agree thought that you do not want to change something too often. I guess if you find some things that work, you should stick with them for the most part.

I switch my routine up every 8 weeks. You really don't need to change your workouts that often, I choose to just for my own sake and to always keep my workouts fresh and new.

You need to change your routine, but you also need time to adapt to the routine to gain strength and muscle. I make minor adjustments to my routine every 4-6 weeks, depending on how I am feeling and whether I have reached a plateau with certain lifts. Changing your weight training routine every day or every week is too often.

It's good to change your routine once in a while, but not too often. You want to get yourself in a good rhythm, but of course, you don't want your body to adapt too well or else you will start seeing a decline in growth.

Growth will cease when you have hit a plateau, you might even lose muscle if the plateau is prolonged. Beginners can follow a program for up to 8 weeks and still make progress. When you stop making progress, make adjustments to your routine.

I definitely have a variety of things that I do. I am the type of personality that gets bored easy, so I try to mix it up to keep myself motivated. I enjoy walking as a stanby, but mostly I like to do videos since I have a wide variety of them to choose from. My sister-in-law also went to FBI training last fall and brought home a FBI training DVD that has over an hour of exercises that they put their trainees through - that one is not only interesting, but it kicks my butt (quite literally!)

I vary my workouts but not by any set schedule. The only things that are set are my weekly yoga class and my weekly kettlebell class. Otherwise I do what feels good or is fun or what fits in my schedule. Right now I'm doing a lot of bike riding, and I've made it an even better workout by pulling a trailer with my kids in it.

I was a runner for awhile but got bored with it and lost interest.

I do tend to vary things. I think this helps to hold my interest. I enjoy taebo and do some Jillian Michaels workouts. I also workout with weights.
