Hi, everyone.

Hey,

I just joined here. I've been training for about two years, mainly for strength, but I appreciate the aesthetic improvements as well!

I started, probably like most people, without knowing a single thing about lifting weights. I then started doing some research online, and found out about the Rippetoes routine. For about 8 months I was on the routine, squatting and eating loads, as is the prescription. My lifts just shot up. After 8 months I was squatting 110kg and deadlifting 150, from a 50 and 80 starting point.

I have now moved on to a four day split, although I'm thinking of going back to full body workouts.

Those are very impressive gains. I'm in the same boat as far as mainly focusing on strength but also being interested in aesthetics. I'm currently on a full body program myself and getting decent results.

Those are very impressive stats! 242 pounds for squat and 330 for dl! I'm jealous!

Anyway, welcome to the forums! Happy posting!

Impressive progress and welcome to the boards, I tried ripptoes for a while but found that for some reason my back couldn't handle it with all the squats and deadlifts pretty much every workout
