Reistance cardio

... way to increase intensity and thus burn more calories. There are various means of adding resistance - ankle and wrist weights, weighted rucksacks, dumbbells etc. I use the rucksack option, I put a 15kg weight plate in my rucksack and go for a brisk walk. Do you add resistance to cardio?

Re: Do you Prefer free weights or machines?

Re: Disabled and Unsure How to Start

Wow! This might be really hard for you but I'm glad that you still are fighting. Hmmm all I can think of is to use dumbbells and somehow strengthen your biceps and triceps. I do not know what else can you do in terms of improving your cardio. Maybe you could do some push-ups and curl-ups?

... muscle appear more defined. What are quad raises? Are you talking about step ups? Step ups are a good compound movement for the legs, good with dumbbells.

Re: Benching hurts wrist

I used to have this problem when I was benching, even though I knew it was poor form. For me, it helped to use dumbbells for a little while to train myself to keep my knuckles pointing at the ceiling instead of behind me. When your knuckles are pointing back, your wrists are bent ...

Re: Shoulder And Military Press Bad for Rotator Cuff

I have also heard that shoulder press with dumbbells can be bad for the rotator cuff, but this is primarily from poor form or straining. For example, the over-rotation or overstretching of the shoulder when dropping or placing the weights, or ...
