Naturally lighten skin




There are a few ways to reduce darkness of skin that comes about as a result of everyday wear and tear. However, before you start trying to do this, it would be wiser to understand that there is no non invasive way you can go about changing the basic color of your skin. If you have a dark skin tone, there is really no way you can get it to lighten.

The color of skin depends upon the level of pigmentation in the skin. Some people have a high amount of melanin in their bodies, which leads to a darker shade of skin. Others have a lesser amount of melanin and therefore the color of their skin, eyes and hair is lighter.

Since this almost always depends upon the genetic structure of a person, there is very little chance that it can be changed unless you go for an invasive procedure such as surgery. Not only will this be extremely expensive, it will also be time consuming and painful. It is better to see what you can do in the direction of changing the shade of your true skin color instead. For starters, it would be a good idea to protect the skin from the harsh and darkening rays of the sun. It is good to be aware that even if in shade, the sunlight can make a difference to your skin color. Cover your body as much as possible. This alone will go a long way in keeping the skin tone even. Apart from this, you should also try and always keep a light layer of sun screen lotion on your skin. This too will prevent your skin darkening unduly.

 

Apart from this, it is also a good idea to follow proper skin care routines which will be helpful in maintaining good skin color and tone as well. Make it a rule to cleanse your skin each night before bedtime. This alone will lead to evening your skin tone and making the skin appear more clean and fresh. About once a week, it would be a good idea to scrub out the face with a citrus fruit. This is an extremely basic method but one that guarantees good results. Citrus fruits contain mild elements of citric acid, which is a mild bleaching agent when found in nature. Once a month, a facial is also a mandatory part of a good skin care routine.
