Dark brown hair highlights

Although it does not serve any significant medical purpose, the human hair when maintained properly can provide a significant amount of aesthetic appeal. One may find it very difficult to take care of their hair mainly because of its increased exposure to damage. These damaging factors include polluted environment, chemicals present in most commercially available hair care products, trauma as well as the effects of hereditary and issues like male pattern baldness.

However, people who have nice, flowing hair will always have much more appeal than some person with dead, stringy hair. Once a person has maintained his or her well, a few accessories and highlights can do wonders to make the characteristic stand out more prominently. Highlights are becoming an increasingly popular addition to ones hair style and it can definitely take the persons entire appeal to a whole new level.

However, to make sure that you hair is ready to be highlighted; one must make sure that the hair itself is in great health. Any damage to the hair follicles can be repaired with the help of a simple coconut oil home remedy. All one needs to do is heat up a little coconut oil and thoroughly massage it into the scalp as well as strands of hair. Once done, a warm towel should be wrapped around the hair for a period of about 30 minutes. The heated towel helps promote the healing properties of the coconut oil – promoting repair of any damaged hair cells. Once the towel has cooled down to room temperature though, the coconut oil should be washed off with the help of normal water.

Depending on the texture and intensity of your brown hair, it is important to choose carefully the best matching highlights. For example, the best complimenting highlights for dark brown hair if you want a rather funky look is to use a bright gold color. However, if you want rather more subtle highlights, it would be a good idea to try dark golden blond highlights. For chestnut brown hair color, you should try putting in a few streaks of golden brown – which gives it a rather casual appeal that suits outings like informal parties and get together right down to the ground. If you are highlighting your hair for the very first time, you should pay close attention to your skin tone and eye color as well, making sure that the shade you pick out compliments both.
