Some say that creatinine is better to take that amino acid tablets as pre and post workout supplement. I wonder why would they say this because from what I know, creatinine is nothing more that a mixture of amino acids.I think glycine, methionine and atginine make up creatinine so how does this creatinine differ with amino acid tabs?

A friend of mine told me that he is using creatinine because he thinks that creatinine gives him more energy than amino acid and he also thinks that amino acids build more muscles so it will affect his speed while creatinine only gives him extra energy. Now I'm getting really confuse. Can somebody here help me? Thanks in advance. :)

Creatine and BCAA supplements are two completely different things. The first is to give strength, energy and muscle volume. The BCAA rather serve to prevent catabolism and build muscles after an intense workout.

You meant to write creatine correct? That's what I'm going to go on anyways..

Creatine gives extra water weight to your muscles so that they can lift more weight.
I believe BCAAs are also helpful during workouts serving you with more energy.

If you are asking which is stronger, I'm going to go with creatine because it does work well and I've never tried BCAA's but they are not as popular a supplement.

Creatine basically retains more water in your body and gives you a little boost in your workouts and more energy. The water makes you look bigger (but also gives you a bloated look), but once off it, water goes away and everything goes back to normal. It's more workout orientated than muscle aid building, which is what most people think.

Your friend is correct when saying that creatine gives him more energy, but creatine is made from amino acids. It's mainly found in your skeletal muscles and aids in increasing the formation of ATP in your body. ATP is essentially the main energy component your body uses for energy.

An advantage to taking creatine over amino acids could be that your body will not have to synthesize the creatine since you are taking it? Other than that I am not too sure

Only difference I feel from creatine is that my soreness is drastically decreased. Feels good man.

After creatine enters the body (or after it is produced by the body) it firsts binds with a phosphate molecule to form Creatine phosphate. ATP (Adenine Tri-Phosphate) IS the body's energy source. When your body oxidizes carbs, protein, or fat it is doing this process in order to produce ATP. ATP is responsible for driving almost every body process there is.

Creatine helps to absorb water weight in your muscles. They tend to look bigger automatically and it'll help you to increase your weight max which as a results allows you to lift heavier. Once your able to lift heavier you'll gain more muscle and get larger.

BCAA's are branched chain amino acids that are important to have as they are depleted during working out.

Creatine = more water in the muscle which mean fuller muscles, increased recovery and strength.
BCAA = better recovery. If you are lifting heavy BCAA's are a good idea. Some believe supplementing Whey protein gives you enough BCAA. L-Leucine in particular is most potent of the group.

Of course if your diet is garbage you are just throwing your money down the toilet :D

I would assume, since creatinine is the waste product of creatine that is useless in the body.

Creatine works by increasing your body's ability to produce energy. Energy is produced by a reaction in the body that removes one phosphate molecule from ATP to to turn it into ADP. This reaction releases lots of energy, which is how the body performs work. When you ingest creatine, the creatine molecule bonds with a phosphate molecule for form creatine phosphate which then donates the phosphate to an ADP molecule to turn it back into ATP - and then the process repeats.
